Yup. Definitely missing that gene.
Not only was Mary a mathematician, astronomer, writer and polymath, she was also a distantly distant cousin of mine.
She married a son of Admiral, Sir Samuel Greig – Captain Samuil Samuilovich Greig.
But decided she didn’t like him much and then married a man called Somerville. But she and Sam had a son (Woronzow Greig) who, like his father and grandfather before, was a member of The Royal Society.

I’ve heard much trash-talk about The Royal Society (Invisible College) on yt truther channels because there is meant to be a connection between them and the Freemasons.
M’eh.
It looks like the SCIENTIST gene had shrivelled in us by the time I was born :o)
